EXCITING NEWS!!!!

I am pleased to announce that Maurice & Gillian Wakeling of Pretty Oak Farm, Somerset England will be our judges for the 2013 Midwest Shetland Sheep Breeders show at Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival in Jefferson WI on Sept. 6th, 7th and 8th.
 
Maurice and Gillian were fortunate to have acquired knowledge from Stanley Bowie in the early days as a trainee.  They hold workshops on their farm to encourage and help new SSS members and have firm ideas about how their Shetlands look, as their homebred Shetlands successes include 68 Champions, 48 Reserve Champions,  7 Inter-breed Champions and 5 Inter-breed Reserve Champions.  They have shown at several County shows as well as  Royal Bath and West Show.    Read More......

2013 MSSBA Show Information

MSSBA was formed to help Shetland sheep breeders ~ and those who simply love the breed and/or it's wool ~ network and share ideas, information, bloodlines, learning opportunities and most importantly of all:  our beautiful, Shetland sheep! We're a friendly group of shepherds and shepherdess's that love our small sheep and wish to promote Shetland sheep and wool as well as share the wonder that is the Shetland sheep.  We're eager to help newcomers to the breed learn all about these enduring sheep.  Do you have questions about Shetland sheep?  MSSBA is the place to come for answers!  You can visit Shetland Breeders in your area by checking out the "Members" link, in the side bar.
